Jump Rope Club

Join us for fun and fitness with the Jump Rope Club after school on Tuesdays from 3:00-4:00 pm. All abilities are welcome from K-8th grades. We will learn both short and long rope skills, sing those great old jump rope songs, and try egg beaters and double dutch. I will need some adult volunteers to help twirl ropes. If you have questions or would like to volunteer please contact me at sbmeitler@c2e.org.

To join you will need to fill out the DCSD Club Health Form and the Student Pick up Policy and Agreement located above. All paper work and the $35 club fee must be turned in before your child(ren) may participate.

Running Club

We offer a non-competitive youth program to introduce running to young athletes in a safe and fun environment.  The focus is on self improvement, being an encouraging teammate, and making new friends.
The Spring Track Series is a six-week school program led by a Teacher and/or parent volunteers and is open to students in kindergarten through 6th grade.  The cost of the program is $49 per runner.

Practices are scheduled two times per week, after school for 45 minutes.  Practices consist of running games and track workouts with a strong focus on fun.

Races are held on Monday nights at Parker Lutheran High School.  Each race night runners will run two races.

  • Race Night #1 – All runners will run the 50m dash, followed by their choice of a 400m or 800m race.
  • Race Night #2 – All runners will run the 100m dash, followed by their choice of a 400m or mile race.
  • Race Night #3 – Runners start with their choice of a mile or 400m race, followed by all runners doing the 200m dash.

At the races, runners receive a race tag with their number, ribbons, a series medal at the final race.  Race results are posted on Landsharks website within 24 hours of completion.   Event and practice liability insurance is provided by RRCA Club Membership.

All coaches are background checked and first aid certified.

If you have questions or would like to volunteer, please contact Margarita Rivera.
